Timeshare Resort Reviews
Shawnee
Resort Timeshare Villas: The Shawnee resort has many
outdoor activities year round. They have six swimming pools,
Snow sports Mountain with snowboarding, skiing and tubing,
canoe and kayak on the delaware river, ice skating and many
more. The villas are very nicely furnice with large accomadation.
The terrace is screened, to keep bugs out when you sit out.
I love it! Everything we needed was there and clean (utensils,
dishes, linens). The recreation center was very nice...my
kids really enjoyed the pool and my husband enjoyed the
inside basketball court. There are 2 bathrooms with the
master bath having a shower and toilet area and sink area
then the other bathroom having a shower area, sink area,
and tub area - but the tub looked like a mini jacuzzi spa
that you had to climb into and out of which was fun for
the kids.
Fairway
at Treetops: Master bedrooms are downstairs and have
a sauna, jacuzzi tub and fireplace. There is also a living
room with fireplace, large and well-stocked kitchen, powder
room, and dining room on the first floor. Second floor has
a full bath, two bedrooms, and a loft. Check-in is fast
and pleasant. There was a laundry room downstairs that is
shared. Everything is very clean. Use of two indoor pools,
both were clean and well-maintained. Both pools are heated
but only the main pool has a hot tub and sauna. The food
was fine although service is somewhat slow. The snowtubing
hill is great. Trolley service through out the resort. Overall,
for the price, a great deal.
Willowbrook
at Split Rock Resort: Speedy Check in, the one bedroom
units are brand new, a natural setting.. lots of woods/golf
courses.. Not alot of suburbia, very close to Big Boulder
and Jack Frost Ski Resorts (5 Min drive), fireplaces in
the 1 bedroom units, very nice jacuzzi tubs in 1 bedroom
units. The Activities Dept has a wide variety of things
to do most of day and long into the evening for all different
age groups: bowling, racquetball, indoor tennis, indoor
pool, basketball, arcade games, exercise equipment, massage,
board games, etc. There is also a movie theatre running
1st run movies several times on the weekend and once a day
during the week... they show older movies at other times
for free. There is an Ice Cream Parlor open only the weekends.
Mountain Laurel Resort and Spa: This resort is out-dated
and needs to be remodel. Not a reccommended timeshare buy.
Carriage House at Pocono Manor: Not as nice as the
Inn at Pocono Manor which is located down the road and is
a beautiful, classic Stone Castle like resort. The Carriage
House is in need of renovation.
Tanglwood
Resort on Lake Wallenpaupack: This resort could use
some more renovations (some rooms are very nice, most look
like they are from 1970), and has everything a family needs
for a getaway vacation. Outdoor pool, recreation room, shuffleboard,
tennis, playground, and access to a nearby health club and
indoor pool. The staff were nice especially the rec center
staff. Units are clean and spacious. Located across road
from large lake and near the Claws N Paws zoo, some nice
restaurants, Family Fun Place (indoor mini-golf and more),
go-carts at Costas, and whitewater rafting on the Delaware.
Eagle
Village at Tamiment: Less then 2 hours from NYC but
a world away in terms of the peaceful setting. The two bedroom
units are large and are unique pedestal style homes (very
cute). They include a fireplace and a screened in porch
as well as two other decks. The master bedroom has a whirlpool
spa tub. The 2nd bedroom had two twin beds. The kitchen
was adequately furnished. Eagle Village does not have some
of the amenities that other resorts offer but if your purpose
is relaxation then it is perfect. Bushkill falls is nearby
and worth the visit. Children would love the wildlife, deer,
squirrels, chipmunks, etc. and the room to run. Older kids
would probably not find as much to do at this particular
resort.
